When you shape your eyebrows into a nice arch, you can achieve that perfect look which calls attention to your face and draws attention to your eyes. However, many people make mistakes while threading their eyebrows. You can easily do it yourself, but if you overdo it, it will result in a thin and rounded shape that gives the person a permanent look of surprise.
Some people tweeze it in such a manner that it gives a fish look with a thicker beginning and a sudden or abrupt thinning. You might even end up taking off so much that it disappears towards the end. You can ruin your whole look with such a badly shaped eyebrow and then you are stuck with the look for a few weeks at least.
Threading eyebrows is considered to be the most effective method of shaping your eyebrows. It is fast becoming a very popular method of eyebrow grooming. You can either do it at home or go to a salon and get it done professionally. Of course, you could choose to have it plucked or waxed, but threading provides a clean and effective result.
This method of threading eyebrows was first started in India and is quite easy and simple. However, if you have not mastered the technique, it would be better to get it done at a salon. There is not much that you need for threading your eyebrows.
All you need is 100% cotton thread. The length must ideally be of about two feet, so that you get the best control and grip and effective results. There are also threads that are specially made for threading of eyebrows. You need to use strong threads that don’t break easily.
Take the thread and knot it at both ends in order to form a circle. Open your hands and form a rectangle with the knotted thread. . Hold the thread with both the hands and start winding it about ten times keeping the wound portion in the center. When you see the wound part in the middle, the thread should look like an X when you see it and the wound up part should be in the middle.
Widen the fingers of one hand and practice pushing the wound up portion towards the other hand or the opposite end. This can be practiced by stretching the thumb and fingers of one hand and, at the same time, closing the thumb and fingers of the other hand.
Try doing this with both the hands till you get the hang of it. Practice this for some time and then first try doing it on your hands or legs. The best part of threading of eyebrows is that it takes a long time to grow back again. Don’t remove too much of the hair or you will have to wait for a long time for it to grow back.
Place the wound-up part of the thread on the hair that you wish to remove along the growth side. Widen the hand to push the wound portion to capture or grasp the hair to be removed. Then, give it a pull or a tug in order to remove the captured hair. All you need is some good practice and you can easily do it yourself.
However, beginners might find it a bit challenging at first. Once you have practiced it on your hands or legs, you could move to the eyebrows. Do the upper portion of the eyebrow and then to the bottom portion to create the perfect arch shape that you want. After finishing the threading work, apply some toner directly to the skin, as this will help to close the pores that were opened during the threading process.
