Does Your Guy Friend Have a Crush on You?

OK ladies, we all know that a lot of you are natural heart breakers. We know that when you walk down the street on a hot summer day with that flimsy gauzy little dress, you cause many a driver to jam his foot on the breaks as he almost slams into that car in front of him because of your enchanting ways.

So you have to be aware that at any given time multiple boys might be crushing on you, right ladies? Yup, this is completely true.

For 90% of the girls out there, I can tell you for a fact that if you live a life where you are interacting with the world on a daily basis (say you are a checkout person at a local grocery store or if you work at the library), there are at least a couple of guys crushing on you right this moment.

Why? Because you are beautiful. Maybe you don’t think you are beautiful because your idea of beauty comes from the popular media but there are many guys out there who think you are gorgeous.

This article is for all my gorgeous women to help you spot which of your guy friends or acquaintances likes you and either can’t find the courage to ask you out or is just about to ask you for a date.

When you look at this guy, do you catch his eyes as if he were looking at you? At this point, does he turn away shyly or does he keep looking? If he turns away shyly, he may have a crush on you.

See if he continues to do it and then one time give him a smile. If you see him flustered then he definitely likes you. If you catch him looking at you frequently and he does not turn away when you catch him, you should probably watch him closely in the future.

If a guy likes you, he will take considerable interest in your personal safety. If he insists on walking you home or to the subway station, you can be sure that he likes you. He might not be crushing hard just yet but there is definitely a chance there.

Guys who want to date you will show a much higher level of interest in you through other people. If you have a large group of friends and he continually asks about you when you aren’t there, ding ding ding!

Make him a little jealous – OK generally I am against cruelty to men but you could give him the jealousy test. Tell him that you are going out with this cute guy on a date and watch his reaction. If he becomes defensive and quiet, he wants you to have his babies.

If he gives you backhanded compliments, then he definitely wants you. This is a surefire sign. Remember the little boys in elementary school who would tease the prettiest girls the most and ignore the plain ones? Yup, same principle.

If he is constantly trying to help you with something ( homework, office work), then he is not just being a nice guy. He likes you! Does he help everyone else the same way or do you get special attention? Trust me! He likes you and wants to have your babies!

When guys are younger they have superman fantasies. That is, they daydream about saving the girls they like from some sort of bad situation. If a guy comes to your rescue even in a situation where you are clearly not in trouble and you don’t need help, then that is another sign that he likes you.

Does he tell you not to wear those short shorts? Someone is being over protective! He likes you ( although he may be the possessive type)

If you go out in a group with all your friends and you end up getting really drunk (or pretend to be), loudly announce how you drank a lot but forget to eat dinner but you don’ t feel like eating anything right now.

The first guy who steps up to take care of you as you pretend to stagger everywhere is probably the guy who wants to date you most.

Ok I know that may sound immature  but it is true. Guys love to protect and that is how we see our roles as shaped by society and pop culture. Think of all the movies where guys are saving girls from skidding cars and monsters.

Ok so now you are sure that a guy has a crush on you and you feel good. I see you preening and that is fine because you deserve it. You are gorgeous and you make our lives worth living but please don’t be mean to us poor hapless boys. If you don’t want us, then don’t play with our hearts.

Let us down easy. Let us know up front that you are only interested in being our friend and that nothing more can come from this relationship.

But if you do like a guy who has a crush on you, then let him know that he is the luckiest guy in the world (don’t actually say that lol). Make him something. Do something for him. Take care of him if he is sick. Give him a shy smile or straighten out his tie for him.

See most times you won’t even have to wonder if he has a crush on you. Most guys will make themselves known! Guys are not very subtle. So if you are still thinking -”Does he have a crush on me”,  you can use the tips mentioned in this article to know for sure.

There you have it ladies, oh and one more thing- if your guy friend wants to date you then that really is the perfect scenario. You already know each other well and are comfortable around each other.
